I’ve held leadership positions for over 20 years in multiple industries (health insurance, property management, retail, real estate) and in non-profit organizations (literacy, marketing). Many times I was promoted based on performance and not given leadership training. I learned a lot of hard lessons along the way. Those lessons challenged me to want to do better. I studied leadership more and bounced thoughts regularly with a mentor. Both of these helped me with self-reflection and growth. I’m still learning every day.
