3-part series on Unity: Leadership | Mindset | Operations
To facilitate unity, we must know ourselves first. This requires work and reflection. What are your values? What do you believe and why? How have your values and beliefs evolved over time and why? What are you willing to sacrifice for what’s important to you?
Do your beliefs change under different circumstances (social or family pressure)? How do you respond to dissent? Do you change the topic or shut it down because it makes you uncomfortable? Or do you lean in to learn more? Do your values change based on your needs?
Sometimes we don’t realize how important something is to us until it is taken away. Last year tested many of our value systems.
Facilitating unity starts with our own congruency. Aligning our beliefs (subconscious) with our thoughts (conscious). Then making sure our actions match our words.
When you’re in harmony, you’re more able to effectively unite those around you.
